Quote of the Week

"It's lovely being able to still support what they consider now a dying art - haute couture. I know times change, but there are certain things we should fight to keep in this world, such as the ability for a designer to create something that is more than just ready-to-wear; that allows them to change the way people view things, which is what couture does. It redefines lines and silhouettes, and so changes the way we look at the world."
Nicole Kidman, on Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano and Nicolas Ghesquiรจre.

Nicole Kidman is very articulate. She is definitely practising what she preaches by looking at things differently - I know I would never have considered haute couture a world-changer. I've always loved haute couture, it's one of the most beautiful types of design and creation we see, but now Nicole has shown us how it really does change one's view of the world.
I found this in Nicole's feature in InStyle Australia, along with a very beautiful photo shoot.
