My favourite collection of the four that have already shown, was Elie Tahari. I'm a hug fan of oversized knits, black tights, a splash of colour and throwing it all together to make a so-wrong-it's-right look (very similar to Chloe's most recent pre-fall collection), and Elie Tahari delivered some looks like this.

The tailored pants were a standout look for this show - they're very day-at-the-office, but super hot at the same time - paired with a metallic jacket...genius. I'm loving this chunky knit coat over evening dress with skinny belt look.
For the most part, this collection was black upon black (if not, very dark hues) and sometimes a little too similar to Burberry Prorsum circa Fall 2007 - a collection I loved, and should definitely be recreated in the future, but perhaps now is too soon..?

Having said all that, I still really loved the relaxed, effortlessly chic feel of this collection. I guess skinny-belts aren't going anywhere anytime soon (I wondered how long these would stay in fashion) - I'm not a huge fan of this trend, unless the belt is silver, hot pink, yellow or any other bright colour, then it's just not my style. I wonder if Elie designed the jewellery as well? It's so dramatic and...out there. To die for.

Corporate chic is such a good way to describe it!
Thanks :)
It was the first thing that popped into my head while looking through the collection, lol.
