You know, sometimes I feel a little bit sorry for Paris Hilton. Wait, now give me a chance to explain myself. Haha. The thing is, Paris Hilton has this incredibly specific public image which she will never live down. She may appear air-headed almost all of the time, but deep down it seems as if the girl has a good heart. It may look like a stupid act, but I do genuinely believe that she wants the world to be a good place, and believes in the goodness of others. She may be "dumb" and "famous for nothing" (labels that the public seem determined to have her stuck with forever), but the simple fact is not everybody can be intelligent. In fact, I think people place far too much emphasis on intelligence -- once one is deemed "uninteliigent" they are simply and, in most cases permanently, written off.
But what about the other facets of human nature? Why is the emphasis only on the size of one's brain, when the size of one's heart is just as big a show of character?
At the risk of sounding totally self-righteous (I assure you, I'm not), I just have to say this:
I don't know Paris Hilton, so I'm not in any position to judge whether she truly is a good person or not, but the simple fact is nobody else is in the position to make the opposite judgement either.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that this doesn't just apply to Paris Hilton; we're living in a cynical and judgemental world, and it's a tragedy. I would love it if the focus shifted from negative to positive sometime soon...

Wow. I have never heard of an actress (or even a woman in the entertainment business) who is so unconcerned with her body that she puts on weight for a nude scene. I'm not sure whether to commend or condemn her. Obviously my first thought was oh what a refreshing and healthy response to the Skinny Obsession... But now that I've thought about it more, is this really healthy? Sure I must admire her bravery to appear nude in a movie, and heavier than usual on top of that, but how is putting on weight to prove a point any different to losing weight (unhealthily)? Neither is healthy, that must be acknowledged. But I can't go past the fact that she did this for the right reasons, and with good intentions.
I'm not sure how much of a difference she made, considering this is the first I've heard of it (I've never even heard of the movie Art School Confidential; but I'm probably the only one lol), but she's doing her bit to knock some sense into the poor women falling prey to the Skinny Obsession (myself included). Perhaps it's not the action (putting on weight) that we should be focusing on, but the attitude and reasoning behind it (wanting to make the world a healthier place).

Ok...There are two ways we could look at this -
1. Hello? Does Sienna Miller own a mirror? She's one of the skinniest women in Hollywood! I really hope she's not insinuating that she's "lumpy and heavy". If Sienna Miller is fat, then us other females have no chance.
2. It's quite admirable that she's being so frank about her faults, and she's obviously happy with who she is. That's always nice to see...

I found this in an article in The Huffington Post, and while Barack is blatantly making fun of the Clinton camp in the rest of this article, here it demonstrates his core values, and reasons for doing so. I'm not condoning his put-downs (which are basically just for a cheap laugh it seems), but I'm willing to overlook them, and focus on the positivity.

I, personally, think it was totally unfair of Jodie to judge Dina like that. I'm not necessarily defending Dina's parenting, though. So, she isn't exactly doing what the rest of the world thinks is right for her child, but what she's saying here is 100% correct.
